Debit Card v. Credit Card
Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Cash, Checks.... so many different options. Is there a time when you should use your credit card rather than your debit card? According to Gerri Detweiler, the
Director of Consumer Education for Credit.com, there are times that are better
than others for a debit card verses a credit card.
Credit cards are better for protecting against fraudulent
activity. If you report the stolen card
within two business days, generally, you are only liable for up to $50 of
charges by law. With debit cards, you
may be liable for more than $50.
Also, if you make a purchase yourself and find yourself
wanting to return it, hopefully you made that purchase with a credit card. Your credit company will help you dispute the
charge but that is not the case if it’s with a debit card.

Missing Plane
Of the 239 passengers aboard the missing flight, 2 of them were traveling on stolen passports. Since the flight has gone missing, two oil slicks off the coast of Vietnam were checking, and found to have no connection to the flight. What they thought could be a piece of floating debris was found to be moss-covered trash. Some theories are that the flight had explosive materials that were improperly stored, like oxygen generators or lithium batteries. The plane is part of the Malaysian national carrier, the Vietnamese are also assisting because of the location the radar lost track of the plane and the Chinese are assisting as well because the flight was heading to Beijing. This is a potentially huge tragedy.

Let the countdown begin...
June 12 marks the start of the World Cup: Brazil versus Croatia to start. Ecuador has decided to retire the Number 11 jersey. They recently played Australia in a friendly match in London and won 4-3. No one on the Ecuador team was wearing Number 11. A little background on this decision around the Number 11 jersey: Christian BenÃtez, their striker, recently passed away due to a heart attack at the age of 27 while playing for his club team in Qatar in July....
